Alto by AOL is a nice mail service I recently started using that allows me to manage my multiple email accounts together and got a nice Smart Mailbox feature called "Stacks". It is like Mail.app for the web but with customizable smart mailboxes. You should check it out.

~Delight Is in the Details

Shawn Blanc released his new book, Delight is in the Details this week. It's an eBook/Audio Book speaking about why sweating the details on your creation is important, which is what I always say: "The small details are what separates good apps from great apps". You can purchase the book either as an eBook only for 20$ or purchase it as an eBook, Audio Book and an extra 7 interviews(4 hours of interviews) with 7 developers, designers, writers and entrepreneurs for 29$. I purchased the eBook, Audio Book and Interviews bundle and finished the book and interviews today, and I highly recommend it. Get it here.

~Orbit for iOS

Orbit for iOS is the app I was missing for the complete App.net mobile experience. I was already using Orbit on my Mac where it works like Droplr or Cloudapp for App.net's Files API, but was missing an app for the Files API on my iPhone. And on Friday last week, Orbit announced the app is now available for iOS too. Inside the app, you can only upload photos to your app.net file storage, but the app comes with a nice URL Scheme to send files other than images from other apps like Dropbox or Documents. You can also choose to make files private or public and share them. I like Orbit and you can get it for Free on the App Store.

App.net is a social network and API that launched almost a year ago. I have been following it since the launch and registered for a free-tier account on April and I really like it. For the past month, I decided to recheck all of the apps that use the service for a better mobile experience. Read more about App.net and my mobile experience inside the article.

~ IFTTT for iPhone

IFTTT (If This Then That), a great automation service I have been using since October, released their new iPhone app a few weeks ago, which lets you manage your IFTTT account and create new recipes on your iPhone.

I have been testing the IFTTT Beta for the past month and it's really nice.

Federico Viticci of MacStories, Rene Ritchie of iMore and Christine Chan of AppAdvice wrote great reviews about the app that you should read.

IFTTT is Free on the App Store.
